It’s time to talk about our Small and Large Intestines!
We started talking about the Digestive system with our teeth and mouth- the place food enters our bodies. After being chewed and swallowed, food travels through the Esophagus and lands in the Stomach before moving on.
The next place it goes after that is your Small Intestine- a long but skinny tube. From there, it enters your Large Intestine- a short but wide tube.
After your intestines are done absorbing nutrients, the digestive system ends with the body removing waste, by pooping!
Digestion is always interesting for the kiddos, it’s just silly enough to interest them in the bathroom and potty training.
