How to delete call history item, SMS or contact in BIG Launcher / BIG Phone / BIG SMS for Seniors

The ability to delete call history items, SMS messages or contacts is disabled by default because we consider it quite dangerous. To enable it, tap the three dots next to the clock and choose “Preferences” from the menu. Then tap “Run setup wizard”. You have already seen this wizard right after the BIG Launcher first-time installation. Tap the button with the green checkmark 3 times and you’ll see the screen with a trash can. Tap the box under the description text and choose “Allow”. Tap the green checkmark 2 more times to get back to the home screen.
Now you can go to the phone screen, tap any of the call log contact names, select the entry you want to delete and tap the “Delete” button.
To delete an SMS message, go to the SMS screen, tap any of the messaging threads, select the SMS you want to delete and tap the “Delete” button.
To enable or disable the deletion manually, tap the three dots next to the clock and choose “Preferences” from the menu.
To set-up the deletion of contacts, choose “Contacts” and on the next screen enable or disable the “Add contact delete option”.
If you tap “Phone” in the Preferences menu, you can set-up the deletion of the call log items.
If you tap Messages the Preferences menu, you can set-up the deletion of SMS messages.
