North Bank - Assamese Feature Film with English subtitles

North Bank is an Assamese feature film directed by Manas Saikia. Cast includes Mridul Baruah, Hiranya Das, Pakija Begum, Haren Saikia, Mayuri Borkakoty, Palashi Saikia, Prabhat Sarma, Nibha Bhuyan Saikia, Pulak Sarmah, etc. It was shot in and around Bihpuria, Lakhimpur and Guwahati towards the end of 2013. The cinematography is done by Dipanjan Dasgupta from Mumbai. This film was completed by the director amidst budgetary, location and cast limitations. The lights and the technicians came from Jahnu Barua's production house Patkai Films. This film went on to win the Best Film award at the Prag Cine Award North East 2015. It was submitted for the National Awards but ultimately lost to another popular film of that year.
