In 2015, Tokyo DisneySea debuted “Disney’s Easter,” an event that kicked off over at Tokyo Disneyland in 2014. This would mark the first time that Tokyo DisneySea actually celebrated Easter since its past events only centered around springtime. With this event brought a new show called “Fashionable Easter.” The show ran yearly until 2018, (with the exception of 2016 since the event was canceled due to the start of the park’s 15th anniversary). The show was replaced by Tip-Top Easter in 2019.

This show centered around Mickey and his friends along with 4 of the greatest fashion designers from 4 ports of Tokyo DisneySea. Gloria de Mode from American Waterfront, P.A. Ocean SeaMarine from Mermaid Lagoon, Carlotta Mariposa, and Hugo Verrejules from Mysterious Island.

Each of the designers presented their styles with performers and the Disney friends dressed up in their finest Easter attire and would eventually clash together to see who had the better styles. The 4 styles represented were Art Nouveau from American Waterfront, Aqua Pop from Mermaid Lagoon, Realism from Lost River Delta, and Steampunk from Mysterious Island. At the climax of the show Mickey and Minnie make the designers realize that it’s okay to take a risk on fashion and incorporate different style types with one another. Right after, each one of the performers trade pieces of their outfits with other performers in order to create a beautiful masterpiece that each of the artists fall in love with.

Fun Facts:
Although the theme was Easter, the 2015 version of the show didn’t really depict anything related to Easter other than little Easter eggs on some of the characters outfits, even the music had no reference to Easter. This was changed in 2017, as more of the costumes received bunny ears and some more Easter eggs. The soundtrack was also re-recorded to feature more of an Easter vibe.

Like the former show Primavera, the show changed every single year or preformed with a brand new soundtrack.

The 5 barges used in the show created using the barge bases from 5 of the character barges used in Legend of Mythica. These barges were once again reused in 2019 for Tip-Top Easter.
