I just walked out of the cinema and this is my non-spoiler review of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

If you’re expecting relentless Rage Virus chaos and constant zombie action, this one might surprise you. The Bone Temple takes a more story-driven approach, following two parallel narratives that slowly tighten toward a powerful third act.

One side of the film leans heavily into cult mentality, ideology, and belief, delivering some genuinely unsettling moments and standout performances. The other focuses on medicine, consequence, and long-term fallout, rewarding patience with a clever narrative payoff that recontextualizes earlier events.

This isn’t about nonstop gore or sprinting infected — it’s about the journey, the people who rise after the collapse, and the dangerous ideas that survive alongside the virus.

I won’t spoil anything here, especially the final act — and trust me, it’s worth going in blind.
