Department of cultural heritage under the Ministry of Culture monitors over 22 000 cultural objects (movable and immovable) in Lithuania. It is important to timely track transformations in objects and surrounding environment, predict activities, negatively affecting the cultural objects, and secure necessary precautions. The wide range of tasks is challenging for an organization with limited resources. The presenter will share experience on how ArcGIS helped to simplify and optimize the overall management of field checks and observations, brought additional measures increasing a quality of the collected information, efficiently processing the reports to well-structured data for performing a comprehensive spatial analysis, and properly examine an impact.
