A large part of the effort for the latter stages of NU5 development was integrating newer NU5 features with older pre-NU5 technologies. We've already initiated a policy for Sprout that limits transfers into the Sprout pool, but we need a more general set of guidelines for how we might retire older pools and technologies so that we can move faster with our engineering efforts and reduce protocol complexity. This session presents some of Nate's (and Steven's, who, due to unforeseen circumstances could not attend Zcon3) thoughts on how this could be accomplished, including a discussion of the social aspects of pool retirement.
