Quran v/s Science (Malayalam) Ayoob P M v/s Abdhul Latheef Karimbulakkal:Debate Part 1

This video contain the first session of a debate on the topic “Quran and Science” (ഖുര്‍ആനും ശാസ്ത്രവും) conducted by Yukthivadi Samgham, Kozhikkode. The debate took place on the 6th of March 2016, at Nadakkavu Girls High School, Kozhikkode. The debaters were Abdul Latheef Karimbulaakkal from “The Truth” (An Islamic Organization) and Ayoob Maulavi from Yukthivadi Samgham. (A Rationalist Organization)

The debate began with both the debaters presenting their introductions. Mr. Ayoob focused on the epistemology of science and how the Quranic method is inherently incompatible with that. Mr. Abdul Latheef pointed out that science has no value and hence a value code is needed and hence Quran; also that there are scientific facts foretold in the Quran.

The second portion of the debate was a 20 minutes explanation. Mr. Ayoob focusses here on rebutting the “foretold” claim in by his opponent in the last session; also, obvious unknowns about transgenders and other things too are pointed out. Mr. Abdul Latheef reiterates his original point and adds that origin is impossible without a creator.
