3.5" SATA HDD 12V USB Adapter Mod

Just a quick video on how to easily mod your super cheap 2.5" SATA USB adapters to work with 3.5" HDDs. Note, try this at your own risk and I cannot be held responsible if you happen to damage anything. Double check polarity and wiring before plugging in any drive to prevent damage. I have so far used this method to read and write to two different drives and it works perfectly for me but I cannot guarantee this will work for all drives or setups. Also if you use this to power a bare drive like I demo in this video, be super careful not to bump or disrupt the drive when it is operating as this can cause a head crash which is irreparable. With all that out of the way hopefully this will come in handy to someone else!
