Burj Ilyas is located at a distance of two kilometers from Dipalpur city. This historic tower was built in 1924 by Mahant Gurdhari Lal, the last custodian of Gurdwara Bhuman Shah. Two floors of this tower are above ground while two floors are underground. Which cannot be accessed. It is known among the locals that Mahant Gardhari Lal's treasure is buried in the underground secret chambers of the tower. Mahant Gardhari Lal migrated to India in 1947 and this area was allotted to the Muslim Rao family who migrated from Kalanur. The patriarch of this family Rao Afzal Khan was elected MPA in 1962 and then became a member of the Provincial Assembly three times. He was elected MNA in 1988. After Rao Afzal Khan, his son Rao Ajmal Khan took over the political mace and won the MNA election 3 times.
