In this review we show what you get (what’s in the box) when you buy your Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360. We then go on to highlight the 2 pre-motor filters and the 1 post-motor filter – where they are and how to clean them (they are all rinsable in water and reusable).

We like that the tools both store on-board the vacuum (using a tool clip that is provided). This is really handy if you find yourself needing a tool while you are vacuuming. They are easy to access.

The NV360, like some other uprights, has a suction release collar. This is essentially several holes in the suction path that can be opened to lower suction and closed to maximize suction. This is a simple feature but one that is very useful. You may sometimes wish to open the suction release collar of the vacuum is difficult to push on a particular surface. Other times you may want to lower suction at the end of the handle or wand (when using a tool).

We like the NV360 has a solid and robust feel about it despite being only about $150 bucks. Many machines at this price point don’t feel like this.

The lift-away feature is very handy. This allows you to carry the motor / dust-canister assembly in one hand and the hose/handle/tools in the other. It’s great for doing a set of stairs, a vehicle interior or jobs that might typically require a handheld (you are tethered by a power cord though).

The NV360 has brushroll ON/OFF controls which allow you to turn the brushroll ON when vacuuming carpet and OFF when vacuuming smooth flooring. We also performed a pickup test using small-to-medium sized debris (chili flakes, flax seeds, lentils, split green peas) on low pile carpet and we compared performance to 2 other popular shark uprights: Shark Pet Pro ZU62 and Shark Navigator ZU561. The NV360 performed every bit as well as the other two vacuum cleaners.

A digital noise level meter was also used to capture decibel readings from 5 different vacuum cleaners: Shark Pet Pro ZU62, Shark NV752, Shark NV360, Shark Navigator ZU561, and the Dyson Ball Animal 2. We found the NV360 to be about average in terms of noise – not really quiet but not too loud.

I would like to point out that I make every effort to be unbiased in my videos. If there is something about a product I do not like - I will let you know!
