Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I've done of the Stevie Wonder song "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing" from his 1973 album "Inversions". Stevie played "Moog" bass on this one (keyboard).

You can find this transcription at Muzento when you sign up with an Advanced Lesson Plan.

I used my 5 string Sterling on this one because I liked the sound of it better than my Fender Jazz, but I didn't use the low B string. This can all be played using a 4 string.

This one was a bit of handful, and there were a few challenges to put this one together. Firstly it took 4 hours just to transcribe! Regarding that, I found it a little difficult to clearly hear the "moog bass" in some spots. This recording has such a big sound and I think there are many layered parts so, it was a little tricky to hear some times.

There's a lot of energy and intensity in this recording. I found that playing on some of the downbeats where you might not normally play can really help push the song along and build the energy. For example, if you have a dotted quarter, 8th note figure. You can play it as a quarter and two 8ths. This is a nice little trick to remember if you ever feel like the band is slowing down ;)

The bridge is a real finger twister. Try to focus on the rhythm of your part at first because if you listen to the rest of the band, it'll throw you off.

There's lots of notes and rhythms in this one. It's not for the faint of heart :) I hope you like it.

Don't forget to "like" and "subscribe" and thanks for watching.
