Ensembl provides visualisation of comprehensive genome annotation for over 60 species. We explore the various comparative genomics tools that can be used in the browser to investigate homolgous genes and sequences between and within species. Starting with gene-based displays such as gene trees, homologs, and sequence alignments, we move to location-based displays to view zoomable regions of whole genome alignments. A short introduction to BioMart is shown at the end.
