Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is a standalone "remix" of the original Dark Souls II release plus its DLC. It features new item and enemy placements that's more in tune with the lore and at least one new boss fight.

In this episode of Dark Souls 2 we take care of unfinished business before heading to the castle. First getting revenge on the ogre in the Forest of Fallen Giants. Long overdue I would say. Next up we jump down into a pit full of Fire Lizards. We pick up the Flame Quartz Ring+1 in a chest down here and the Hawk Ring on a nearby corpse. There's also a Firedrake Stone here that can be used for Fire infusion. We eventually decide to go in through the Iron Key Door instead after dying multiple times to the Fire Lizards. We find the Rebel's Greatshield on the same corpse as the next DLC key, the Heavy Iron Key which will get us to the Iron Keep DLC area. Next we head to Heide's Tower of Flame and the Cathedral of Blue where we chat with Blue Sentinel Targray to gain access to the Blue Sentinels covenant. Finally we head back to the Shaded Ruins to use our Fragrant Branches of Yore. One of the Iron Clan Warriors is holding the Fang Key, allowing us to free the Weaponsmith Ornifex. Another one is guarding a chest containing the Repair sorcery. We get the Lion Mage armor set from another chest guarded by the Lion Clan and the Warlock Mask from killing the last petrified enemy.

This is not quite a blind let's play. The Souls series is one of my all-time favorites and I have beaten the original version of Dark Souls II once. I don't know what to expect from this new version though, except for what I've glimpsed in screenshots. The DLC will be completely blind as I never got around to play those.
