building the innovative tech that makes it possible.

🎬 ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Reel FX VR has teamed up with Google Spotlight Stories and The Book of Life Director Jorge Gutierrez for a new Virtual Reality project called Son of Jaguar. This will be Jorge's first foray into VR, following in the footsteps of other prolific animation filmmakers who have created Google Spotlight shorts including Patrick Osborne, Aardman Animation’s Tim Ruffle, Glen Keane and Shannon Tindle.

Son of Jaguar is a first person narrative lucha libre Mexican wrestling themed short that builds on past work from El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rodriguez and The Book of Life.

The project reunites The Book of Life crew - Art Director Paul Sullivan and Character Designer Sandra Equihua, and the Reel FX animation production team.
