Pr. Moore received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1987 and his Ph.D. in 1991, from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
From 1994 to 2003 Dr. Moore served as a professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University.

He moved to Texas A&M University in 2003, to become Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Director of Graduate Studies.
In January 2013, he joined the Imperial College in London, and Director of Research for the Department of Bioengineering.

Dr. Moore’s research on the lymphatic system initiated in 2004 with Dr. David Zawieja, developing two technologies for preventing and resolving secondary lymphedema. He is looking for BioEngineering Solutions for Lymphedema.

Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) is an original hands-on method of lymphatic drainage developed by Bruno Chikly, MD, DO. Created out of his award-winning research on the lymphatic system, LDT takes traditional lymph drainage techniques and adds a level of precision consistent with recent scientific discoveries.
LDT is the first modality to work with the specific rhythm of lymph (described by scientific experiments), the specific depth and direction of the lymph flow, in the skin, mucosa, muscles, viscera, bones or dura and pia membranes.
From there practitioners can use their hands to perform Manual Lymphatic Mapping (MLM) of the vessels to assess overall circulation and determine the best alternate pathways for draining body-fluid stagnations.
