Today, not only do girls run the world, but these girls also literally run in competitions held around the world! That’s quite a leap from what women were in the early days. Before, women’s role was solely to be the homemaker. Today, what men can do, women can too!

That said, if men can run away from their responsibilities, women can too! Kidding! What I’m really trying to say is that if men, male athletes in particular, can make themselves known across the globe because of their skills, take Usain Bolt for example, female athletes can too! In fact, many female athletes like Melissa Jefferson have made and are making their marks in their respective sports too!

But in #trackandfield competitions in particular, female athletes, just like their male counterparts, are on fire! It’s like all of them have the same goal: to break or make records!

That’s exactly what #MelissaJefferson did which definitely shocked the world!
