ভয়াল রূপ নিয়েছে শেরপুর, ময়মনসিংহ আর নেত্রকোণার প্লাবন পরিস্থিতি। বৃষ্টির সাথে উজানের ঢল অব্যাহত থাকায়, ডুবছে নতুন নতুন এলাকা। পানিবন্দি কয়েক লাখ মানুষ। তিন দিনে দেশের সর্বোচ্চ বৃষ্টিপাতের রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে নেত্রকোণায়। ময়মনসিংহ ও পূর্বধলার জারিয়া রেলপথে পানি উঠে ব্যাহত চলাচল। এখন পর্যন্ত শেরপুরে ৬ জনের মৃত্যুর খবর নিশ্চিত করেছে প্রশাসন।

The flood situation in Sherpur, Mymensingh and Netrakona has become dire. As the rain continues upstream, new areas are inundated. Hundreds of thousands of people are trapped in water. Netrakona has recorded the country's highest rainfall in three days. Water-logged railways through Mymensingh and Purbadhala disrupted movement. So far, the administration has confirmed the death of 6 people in Sherpur.
