Governor Pete Ricketts and the University of Nebraska, Nebraska State College System, Nebraska’s Community Colleges, and Nebraska’s Chambers of Commerce are partnering on a new public awareness campaign for all Nebraska public institutions of higher education, “Commit to Complete”, encouraging on-time graduation.

The cost of higher education is a topic of discussion for students, parents, and policymakers across Nebraska. When students take additional time to complete their degrees, they risk increasing their educational costs and taking on more debt, delaying the start of their careers, and limiting their earnings potential. "Commit to Complete" addresses on-time graduation in an educational and fact-based way.

The statewide "Commit to Complete" campaign also shows that Nebraska leaders are unified in their commitment to improving retention and timely graduation rates to meet the urgent workforce needs of the state. The goal is to help college-bound students understand why it’s important to earn their degree more quickly—and show them and their parents how to do it by following some key steps:
