10.09.2019 so happy to say we're now jumping more consistently! Because of the weather changes and the fact that the indoor season is starting now anyways, we moved all of the jumps from the outdoor to the indoor arena before our lesson on Thursday.

I'm really happy with this lesson. Cara was so calm and listened really well to me. Also, we practised trot jumping for the first time- or well, we've TRIED but never succeeded before, she would just canter away but today, from the start, she just trotted along nicely and jumped with ease. Wow!

I'm also satisfied with how we practised some tighter turns and shorter distances/lines, very good for both horse and rider.

Amalie told me to focus more on my position- to follow her more with my upper body and to not "sit so deep" down in the saddle (when she gets excited I tend to do that, but it results more in me pushing her forward more!). I managed to do that more at the end (the clips are in reversed order, with the last rounds first and the start of the lesson is at the end). It's cool to see how big of a difference it makes, just some "small changes" in my position :)

I was planning on vlogging (a proper barn vlog) but sadly, since we had to move all of the jumps in and such, I didn't get the time to vlog, but I'll 100% try to make a vlog from our next lesson, as I know this kind of unedited raws type of videos can be kind of boring to watch.
But for me personally, I find it rewarding to just post the raw clips so I can look back and see both the good and the bad parts as I leave everything in. Enjoy!
