The Carpenters - Rainy Days and Mondays (Punk Version)

What if...The Carpenters had grown up a couple of decades later, and channeled their wistful melodiousness into 90s-style skate-punk instead of MOR pop? Is there a parallel universe in which, instead of achieving global megastardom and performing at the white house, the pinnacle of their career was releasing a split 7" with 88 Fingers Louie and securing an opening slot on the 1998 Warped Tour? I tried to image how that might have sounded!

I obviously do not own the copyright for the video clips, images, song, or Karen's amazing vocal. I played all the instruments, apart from a few annoying bits of percussion that I couldn't remove from the vocal track.
