As we learn more and more about the new, larger format, 5Ah PowerStack battery, we adjust our tests and try to build on the tests.

There is no doubt that DEWALT PowerStack 5Ah battery is a beast! While some are surprised that the PowerStack 5Ah is larger, many are happy it can deliver large amounts of power to high-demand tools.

I have done all of these tests to help you decide what battery will work best for you and your needs. Obviously budget comes into this when we are talking about a $250 PowerStack battery. From what I can tell by sourcing the battery pouches, there is about a 30% increase in costs for the pouch cells. I am confident the price will come down over time, but it does scare me a bit when I think of a pouch cell FlexVolt pack. That could be a $450 dollar pack plus! On the other hand, it would pack one heck of a punch.
