12-DEC-2025. A JetBlue Airways Airbus A320 (A320), registration N809JB, performing flight JBU1112 / B61112 from Willemstad Hato International Airport (Curacao) to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, NY (USA) was climbing out of Curacao to 35,000 feet. When passing 33,300 – 33,400 feet the flight crew reported that they had a United States Air Force air-to-air refueling aircraft in close vicinity of them at 34,000 feet, in about 2-3 miles, north-eastbound direction. The pilots of JetBlue also reported that the transponder of the conflicting airplane was turned off. The air traffic controller confirmed that they did not have a radar contact as well. After that JetBlue 1112 said:” We almost had a mid-air collision up here”. The position of the air-to-air refueling aircraft may be inaccurate. We don’t have its flight path. Its position is based only on the report of JetBlue 1112. Also the type of air-to-air refueling aircraft may be incorrect.

HOW I DO VIDEOS:
1) I monitor media, airspace, looking for any non-standard, emergency and interesting situation.
2) I find communications of ATC unit for the period of time I need.
3) I take only phrases between air traffic controller and selected flight.
4) I find a flight path of selected aircraft.
5) I make an animation (early couple of videos don’t have animation) of flight path and aircraft, where the aircraft goes on his route.
6) When I edit video I put phrases of communications to specific points in video (in tandem with animation).
7) Together with my comments (voice and text) I edit and make a reconstruction of emergency, non-standard and interesting situation in flight.
