[NYE Special] Elevator Highlights of 2017

2018 is just right in front of us but before we move on to the brand new year, let's take a look at some of the best and interesting elevators that I've filmed in 2017. Most of these are from Singapore and Jakarta, and the reason why there weren't so many results during the second half of the year is because I was busy with college. Hope you enjoy this rather long compilation, and wishing a HAPPY NEW YEAR for everyone!

1. Largest: Changi Airport Terminal 1, SG (Schindler 5500)
2. Smallest (1st): Chan Brothers Building, SG (Thyssen, 4 Persons/320 kg)
3. Smallest (2nd): Bali Caps Hostel, Bali, ID (Schindler 3300 AP, 5 Persons/400 kg)
4. Tallest: ION Orchard, SG (Schindler 7000, 51 floors)
5. Tallest vintage: Shaw Tower, SG (Mitsubishi, 37 floors)
6. Tallest OTIS GeN2: Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, ID (17 floors)
7. Tallest Schindler 5500: La Maison Barito, Jakarta, ID
8. Tallest Schindler Miconic 10: 88 Kota Kasablanka Tower A, Jakarta, ID (39 floors)
9. Tallest SIGMA: Central Park Residences, Jakarta, ID (51 floors)
10. Tallest in HDB: Block 10B Bendemeer Road HDB, SG (SIGMA, 40 floors)
11. Oldest: Shaw Tower, SG (Mitsubishi, 1974)
12. Fastest: (probably) ION Orchard, SG (Schindler 7000)

Notable events in 2017:
1. Filmed my first ever KONE Polaris elevators.
2. Filming a DOVER elevator with Impulse fixtures for the first time.
3. Did a Mitsubishi nudge mode with Japanese voices in Indonesia (extremely RARE!)
4. Invited to an elevator company
5. Filmed my very first Mitsubishi spiral escalators
6. Did the "coin test" in a high speed Mitsubishi elevator

And finally, the BEST elevator of 2017 goes to the awesome high rise fireman/service elevator at Shaw Tower in Singapore, which is an original 1974 Mitsubishi serving a total of 37 floors!
