At the SIAM India ‘GREEN PLATE EV RALLY,’ Union Minister Shri H D Kumaraswamy emphasized India's remarkable achievements in the automobile industry under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Today, India proudly stands as the third-largest automobile market in the world, with the sector contributing over 7% to the nation’s GDP.

In his address, the Union Minister highlighted the ambitious target set by Hon’ble PM in 2021: to ensure 30% of all new vehicle sales are electric by 2030. The Ministry of Heavy Industries is fully committed to this vision, advancing through supportive policies, initiatives, and impactful schemes such as FAME and EMPS. The goal is to ensure a smooth, equitable, and inclusive transition towards a sustainable future that benefits all.
