Sagittarius Aiolos is one of the oldest and very first Gold Saints of the 20th century generation of Athena’s Saints (together with Saga and his twin Kanon). His sacrifice in saving the infant Athena from Saga’s evil plot is a legend…

Not much is articulated about Aiolos when he’s alive - the original manga doesn’t even have information about his ultimate attack. His spirit, however, lives on within his Gold Armour and keeps protecting Athena even after his death. All that his Sagittarius Gold Armour had done to assist Athena’s young Saints reveals a lot about Aiolos’ personality. His undying loyalty and dedication has proved that he had lived and died as a true Saint.



Note:
His name is spelled "AEOLUS" in the Classic Anime by Netflix-Sentai , and "AIOROS" in the Original Manga by VIZ Media. I normally use names in the Classic Anime, since they're the most popular, but in this case, I've used "AIOLOS" since this is the most popular version of his name among fan community.

The spelling "AIOROS" and "AIOLOS" are only variants of very much the same word, only due to the way Japanese people pronounce what is transcribed as "r", which is pronounced as something between "r" and "l".
