I have been harassed constantly both in game and after battle by one player in particular who (for the purposes of this upload shall remain nameless) and has been rather emphatic in stating that CVs are a burden on the team.
Here is absolute proof that in the right hands they are in fact a great asset to the team.

This is my opinion on the CV after the rework:

I find CVs to be a rather significant asset on any team - not so much in their initial offensive capacity, but more so in their initial passive capability. What they bring is a tremendous scouting potential and the additional ability to add the finishing touch in the destruction of an escaping adversary along with the means to locate skillful and as yet undetected DD players and the assets to quickly prevent base capture from a significant distance.
The air power of the CV is now best utilized against those ships which become isolated from the rest of their allies whereby the AA defenses of the solitary ship prove no match for the force of a full squadron's repeated strike capacity. Recall your planes often. They are far easier to repair, than replace; and this is particularly true of the UK line of CV s which have fewer overall aircraft numbers than their counterparts of other nations.
CVs are by no means an easy ship class to master, and their presence is not the significant game changer it once was; yet they are not to be discounted in any measure.

The recording of the battle replay was a little jittery at times whenever engine boost was being utilized and I do apologize if Youtube's processing after upload did not smooth it enough at those times.
