The Scottish government have been heavily criticised for making a £196m cut to the Government's housing budget at a time when 10,000 children are stuck living in temporary accommodation across the country.

Four local authorities having declared housing emergencies in their areas and shock figures have revealed housing association new build starts have slumped to their lowest level since Margaret Thatcher was in power.

In the latest episode of Planet Holyrood, the housing crisis was put in focus by the team with questions being asked about how the younger generation are ever going to be able to afford their own home.
