Prime Minister, Grand Sheikess: Durriyyah Bey, was born in 1959, the eldest of 7 children. Being born in Moorish Science was not easy for her, since only 2 out of the 7 siblings were born in Moorish Science. However, with the assistance of aunts, uncles, cousins, three wonderful children and grandchildren, she has managed to keep it all together. Her lineage spans four generations, from her Great Grandmother Sidney Travis Bey to her Grandmother, Julia Travis Ford Bey who married James Ford Bey, to her father Leon Ford Bey (aka Ali Bey) who recently transitioned.

Prime Minister: Grand Sheikess: Durriyyah Bey is a graduate of Rutgers University. She has been in education for over 40 years since then. Her qualifications range from early childhood development and education, which includes daycare through college. She also has a vast medical background in Cardiovascular Technology, Neurophysiology and Sleep Medicine and Moorish Science Law and History.

She is best known for her extensive knowledge of Moorish Science, as taught by Prophet Noble Drew Ali and her great uncle Isaac Travis Bey, who was the Imam of the family.

She started the "Moorish Science with GSKS: Durriyyah Bey" BlogTalk Radio program in 2012, which includes Sunday School for Children and Adults, Wednesday Real MOORS Talk and Friday Holy Night Meetings.

On March 22, 2013, Prime Minister, Grand Sheikess: Durriyyah Bey, along with 6 witnesses, made a re-proclamation of the Moorish Nation in the County Recorder’s office in Chicago Illinois.

Prime Minister is the Founder, and Head Instructor of "Online Schooling for Moorish Children," which was opened and established on September 8, 2015. The school provides strong quality education for the upliftment of our youth. The school's motto is “Educating our children’s minds to excellence.”
