James Smart is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under Ryron and Rener Gracie and has been a pioneer of Jiu-Jitsu in South Africa. He is also the owner of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Capetown and the company STREETSMART®.
James has also trained alongside defensive tactics legends like Lee Morrison and Craig Douglas and developed revolutionary programs like STREETSMART COMBATIVES® to serve military and law enforcement personnel in the African Continent.

James is one of the very few guys who essentially embodies the phrase "Truth in Martial Arts".
His no-nonsense approach towards Martial Arts grounded by his earnest desire to learn and share at every occasion is what makes listening to him a refreshing experience.
