What about my teenager son who has had a vaccine? Can he be infected? The answer is yes.
Let's come to our attention that even children, the teenagers when they're vaccinated can be asymptomatic with COVID Delta variant. Sadly, infected people in all age groups can't transmit the virus to other people, even if they have mild symptoms or even if they are asymptomatic, the virus will spread from person to person through liquid particles called aerosols and droplets from the nose or the mouth, which are spread when the person with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes or even speaks. Family members can catch COVID 19 if they are in the vicinity of those droplets and if they breathe into their droplets or if those droplets fall on their hands and they don't wash their hands.
Data suggests that children under the age of 18 have few deaths compared to other age groups but cases of critical illness have also been reported, especially with the new variant.
Children with preexisting medical condition are considered to be high risk or infectious.
The available data suggests that only less than 10% of the children who are under 18 years are affected by COVID 19.
Do we wait for the Vaccine? Yes, it is best available defense for everyone.
