" Note** 12/27/22: The pro includes Bitwig Studio, and Auto-Tune Synergy. It also includes a pair (2) of Antelope Edge Note Microphones for small diaphragm condenser microphone modeling. As well both bundles come with the 37 stock FX. Big difference in cost from both units, but with the pro you do get a few additions added. First are the converters. They’re supposed to be way better. More headroom. More pristine. Just super good quality. The second is the software. They’ve added a few new features in the software like a virtual patch bay. Really just overhauling it entirely. 4, 32 channel virtual mixers. Presets on the fly that you can save and use. As well, the synergy core has pushed new levels for FX usage. You can use up to 16 channel strips now worth of effects. Whereas prior it was only 4. As a final mention. You get a 2.0 USB cable with it but it supports thunderbolt 3 if you wanted to use that for almost zero latency. Then you're getting the microphones, autotune, and a license for a daw (Bitwig).

If you're just looking for what I have above, with no additional components, the non-pro version is almost 1/3rd cheaper and still absolutely smashes anything in that price range. As I absolutely consider this a high-end audio interface. "

Today I review the Antelope Audio Discrete 4. A seriously awesome high-end professional interface with incredible quality. This has been my backup and travel interface for the last 8 months and it's seriously something. Incredible from head to toe, with a few caveats here or there. This is my review and in-depth discussion about my experience over the last 8 months with the device. If you're seriously considering purchasing it, make sure to watch the entire video, because I go over lots of important things including their promotional bundles that can potentially save you money on the product.

If 4 preamps are too little and you don't wanna use ADAT. The Discrete 8 is the same product with just 4 more preamps. Both units deliver beautifully and are a great way into the high-end pro audio game.

Update*** There is a way to turn the unit off. You would hold the third button down on the front panel for about two seconds. Then a menu will pop up, you'll select the first option which is power-off. Select it by using the big front knob to shut the unit off.

Update 2**** Anything you purchase is linked to your account, but all included starter plugins belong to the unit. So anyone purchasing one, second-hand will have those free plugins.
