“I Never Knew You”

Matthew 7:23 — “I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you.’”

But others obey the dark command,
With bloodied boots on sacred land.

While the earth drinks tears no soul understands.
They preach of heaven, they claim what’s right,
But their hearts are far from Your holy light.

“I never knew you,” My voice will say,
“You called My name, but walked your own way.
You claimed My banner, yet hearts were untrue
Depart from Me… I never knew you.”

The world is dark, where is Your face?
Do the wicked rule by mercy or grace?
The cries of the pure are lost in the wind,
But You, O Lord, see the weight of sin.
Why do You wait while the tyrants reign?
Why let the innocent suffer such pain?

“I am Alpha, Omega,” You softly reply,
“I see every soul, I know every lie.
I let the world spin, though evil may rise,
For there are still children who’ll open their eyes.
When the last heart is born that will truly believe,
Then I shall return, and the earth I will cleave.”

“I never knew you,” the Judge will cry,
Though they cast out demons and reached to the sky.
Not works, but love, is what I pursue
Those who obey, I will carry through.
So live not for pride, nor war, nor fame…
But to walk in mercy, in Jesus’ name.
