KA-POW!

Описание к видео KA-POW!

Here is the Psy-Ko SS version 461 with the alternate piston I had made "gnawing" on a fatty hazard tree redwood in the front yard.
I flat told the requestees that I wasn't going to attempt to fell this tree without some hydraulic assistance for the alternate style pull method. Seeing the rot seen when taking out the face and the wavy "brash" holding wood seen in the stump after this tree went down was the reasoning. Although not equipped with x-ray vision, I have seen enough of the insides of trees just like this to know the probability for at least one kind of hinge wood issue was ~ 100%. Keep in mind we're talking my first experience with a redwood started ~ '85.
I am thankful that God was smiling on us here. The penalty points cost, had there been a miss que on where this tree ended up, would have been magnificent!
I did have Chris give this tree a little nudge at about the half way mark in the back cutting to see if the machine had enough "umph" out back to handle the task. Backed it up with wedges just in case, finished her off and then sent her down the hill.
We did throw a log perpendicular to the flight path in the hopes that it would hold up the butt and give the tree something to slide on. As you can see here, the plans of mice and men...
The bole of this tree was brash all the way to the marm - which was seen in the break and I'm 90% positive that's why it broke where it did.
A special thanks to Chris A. for the gentle touch on the control levers and Mr. Munster for letting me "abuse" his 461. I am currently available for custom saw modifications. If you are interested, please shoot me an email.

Thanks for watching.
