Drum Major Michael Leitch leads the march of the massed Pipe Bands for the finale of the 2024 North of Scotland Pipe Band Championship. This was held at King George V Park in Banchory on Sunday 12th May 2024. There were about 20 competing bands of all Grades and these marched in to line up before the Chieftain, Donald Farquharson 16th Laid of Finzean, playing "Wings", "Flett from Flotta" and finally "Scotland the Brave".

There was a great turnout of Pipe Bands taking part in this championship, thanks to the efforts of the organisers Banchory District Initiative, in conjunction with the Royal Scottish Pipe band Association - North of Scotland Branch.
