Mother Sita had to leave this world and get absorbed in the earth? Why did Lord Rama repeatedly doubt the character of his beloved Sita?

As we all know that when Lord Shri Ram abandoned Mata Sita, Mata Sita took refuge in the ashram of Rishi Valmiki. Mother Sita was also pregnant at that time. He had given birth and brought up Luv Kush by staying in the ashram of Maharishi Valmiki.
But when Luv Kush had grown up a little, then sage Valmiki ordered both of them to go to Ayodhya. Going to Ayodhya, both Luv Kush brothers narrated the Ramayana story to everyone in the court of Shri Ram. After the end of the story, both the brothers Luv and Kush told everyone there that they are both sons of Shri Ram and Mother Sita.

But when the people of Ayodhya heard this from the mouth of Luv Kush, they doubted it and put many question marks. Then Lord Shri Ram invited Sita himself to appear in the royal court to prove the truth of this fact and at the same time ordered to take an oath of his purity.

When Mother Sita came to Ayodhya and when she was asked to prove her purity, her heart felt very sad. they

If you have believed and worshiped only Lord Rama, then O Mother Earth, give me a place in your lap.
When Mother Sita said this, there was a loud sound and the earth was torn in two parts. Mother Prithvi Devi appeared from the earth and she took Mother Sita with her and went away forever. And in this way Mother Sita was also born from the earth and in the end she got absorbed in the lap of mother earth.
