Bikepacking on the road to Rouen - Seine au Velo -

We head along the Seine au Velo, at times struggling with the heat as France is gripped by the biggest heatwave on record. A few stops along the way including Giverney where we look at the areas made famous by Claude Monet. This part of the Seine is quiet and picturesque. When we reach Rouen its time for a rest in the cheapest hotel we can afford, which happened to be nice and central. The city of Rouen was made famous by many important events of history, including Jean d'Arc burnt at the stake in 1431.

You don't have to spend hundreds to get a folding bike that you can use for an international cycle tour. Second hand folding bikes can be excellent value if you are prepared to do any repairs yourself! Small repairs and replacing any worn out parts can be done with simple tools and these light weight bikes can be stored easily in a cupboard or under a bed.
