Partly inspired by the work of artist Hicham Berrada, Vestiges explores the vestigial traces of a hidden undercurrent of material.

Musically, it is an exploration of the molecular components and reactive possibilities of a small cell of material, which, almost as if through a series of chain reactions, spools outwards from its fragile beginning, making and re-making itself, and unspooling into increasingly complex and volatile refractions of itself.

The work is cast into interconnected movements, linked through their shared genetic material, they are however almost mirror images of one another: the first cellular, volatile, and visceral, and the particles of which hang in the air to form the second - a strange expanse of scintillations and dreamlike lines that coil around each other, before disintegrating back into silence.
