With the radical message of love and hope Jesus’ teachings dismantle the hidden, underlying laws of the social, political, and economic world. As followers of the rebel Jesus we shouldn’t be surprised if at some point we encounter discomfort.

It seems like a lot of Christians have forgotten about the power of radical love. Our lives can become too smooth and comfortable. Quite a contrast with our persecuted fellow believers or fellow humans who fight for emancipation and justice for a minority group they represent or belong to.

‘Peculiar People’ is a call to love one another. To be rebellious in our love. To not be afraid to be different. To make true love our trademark since our maker takes it seriously too…

Besides: There’s nothing fun about being or acting ‘normal’. There are plenty of normal people already! So let’s dare to be different.
