This episode is unlike any I’ve ever done. I am teary eyed as I think about who I am sitting with for this episode. For the first time, I’m joined by someone who actually knew my brother—the one whose memory and life shaped this entire podcast and my work in grief. My good brotha/friend Chris Crowder and I grew up together at church, and our bond goes way back. He and my brother were infants in the church nursery together, and his father—who we also talk about—was my Sunday School teacher.

We feel the sting of death, but we get a chance to laugh, remember, and go deep in a way that I have not done before on this podcast.
