How to fault find and troubleshoot Daikin air-conditioner with flashing light

If your system is not running correctly and there is a flashing red light on the indoor unit on the wall - the system is in fault.
Sometimes this can be reset and fixed by yourself, but other times, this will need to be rectified by an authorised repairer.

The way to diagnose the fault, is by using the wireless controller. Push and hold the cancel button on your controller until the system beeps. Push and hold the cancel button again until you hear a long beep - the screen will now display a flashing error code.

You will need to reference the Daikin fault code guide and see what the displayed error code relates too.

You may now turn the power off to the system via either the isolator next to the outdoor unit, or by finding the circuit breaker on your switchboard. Leave the system off for at least 15 seconds, then switch back on. You may find the fault has cleared and your system is now operating. If the fault has not cleared, you will need to contact your authorised repairer and seek assistance.
