Today we’ll be making the very popular Peshawari Charsi Chicken Karahi. It’s something really simple, uses minimal spices & yet so flavourful similar to a Restaurant style Karahi.

The popularity and uniqueness of this dish come from the way it is made. Its chicken or meat is fried in salted oil and then flavoured with fresh produce which includes tomatoes, ginger, garlic, peppers followed by a sprinkling of black pepper.

Though this recipe requires heaps of oil, I have a trick up my sleeve to use even less than a quarter of what is required. In case you don’t mind the oil & want to do it the traditional way, I also have instructions for that in the video. So either way, I got you covered ;)

Ingredients:
1.5kg Chicken
6-7 Large Tomatoes or 750gm Tomatoes
1/4cup to 1.5cup Oil
1.5 tsp or to taste Salt
4-8 Green Chillies
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
2 tsp Black Pepper Corns - Crushed
1/4 inch pc of Ginger - thinly sliced
