Adrienne Albert is an American composer whose works have been performed throughout the United States and around the world. Albert started her composition career in the 1990s following a long career as a singer.

Albert describes her works as:

“Originally titled Wind Tides for trombone and piano and commissioned by the wonderful trombonist, Andrew Malloy, Wind Song is a transcription of that work. Changes have been made to suit the unique and beautiful sound of the horn. Wind Song is a mini-concerto in a single movement with a fairly lengthy cadenza. It is in ABA form. The title comes from the obvious reference to the breath required for this instrument and from the ebb and flow of the music.” - Description quoted from Adrienne Albert’s website.

The performance was given as part of a Faculty Recital at Valparaiso University in Duesenberg Recital Hall on October 4th, 2021.
