Deep River NC - Kayaking the Echoes of History

The Deep River runs through the heart of North Carolina. Rising in western Guilford County, the Deep flows roughly 125 miles to Mermaid Point where it joins the Haw River to become the Cape Fear River. The Deep River also runs the heart of my family's history. My 7th Great Grandfather settled on the banks of the Deep near modern day Coleridge, NC. He built several of the original roads in the area as well as Beck's Ford. Beck's ford held significant importance during the time Revolutionary War. While most of the details are forever lost to history, the river calls to be explored...It is time to answer that call...Join us for an immersive kayaking journey down a section of the Deep that starts in Ramseur and ends at Beck's Ford.
