As a part of the Co-PREPARE project (Collaborative Indo-German Project on Estimating and Predicting Natural Hazards in Himalayan REgion) commitment to generate actionable knowledge, a lecture series, 'Understanding the DynAmics of the Natural Hazards in the Himalayas (UDAN)' was initiated. The lectures aim to provide a fundamental understanding of various hazards, viz. floods, landslides, earthquake, glacier retreat, glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) and socio-hydrological issues in the Himalayan region. By doing so, we managed to create a specific international research group interested in the topic. The UDAN lectures are open to all and anyone interested can register and attend the lecture.
