Last year I tried to grow squash & pumpkins vertically for the first time and loved it. It's such a space saver, so this year I decided to grow them on a much larger scale so I could showcase many varieties.

As a firmer chef of 20+ years, I wanted to demonstrate how growing vertically can be achieved in a small space using one arch, or multiples if space allowed, to grow a food source that can be stored for winter consumption. ultimately, to give a homegrown product to enjoy through the winter & also help reduce food costs.

I wanted the project to be cost effective and affordable to anyone, so I looked at cheaper arches that were value for money. Wilko were kind enough to collaborate with me on this project and supplied the materials I needed to create the tunnel of arches.
