If you're at home, Google and Apple know it. They also know when you leave and where you're going. Our smartphones send that information back to Apple and Google, but this new report shows Android devices send a lot more information to Google than iPhones send to Apple. Whether you have an Android device or iPhone, you should take a look at what Google knows about you. Go to myactivity.google.com to see it. It's a treasure trove of information. Based on my web searches and other online activity, Google knows my age, knows I like home improvement, alternative music, knows which sports I like, and coffee tea. Not from the information I've given to Google. The company knows this because it can see which websites I've visited.

Google knows where I've been, saving those locations, down to the exact address because location services is turned on on my Android device. Google knows every YouTube video I've seen going back forever. For example, it knows that 10 years ago I watched this rather curious video of a Lawrence Welk show.

take a look at your own activity. You can delete the information from Google's servers and even prevent your device from sharing and storing the information in the future.
