What is called gas-assisted injection molding?
We will talk about one sample for handle of industrial box.

Pushing the melt plastic to fill the cavity and core side by high pressure during injection process, with the holding pressure to make the inner part is hollow surface was called gas-assisted injection molding.

This handle was made by PP material and 1*2 cavity, the cavity and core side were made by texture, and the average wall thickness is 25mm, we used the full-shot injection of gas-assisted molding, the cycle time is 80 seconds by robot automatic production, the key point is the part weight was reduced about 70% after using gas-assisted molding, and also there is no any shrink mark on part surface which means realized the weight reduction, saving materia and fine surface.
