If you want to delete your old PayMaya account, now simply called Maya, the process is straightforward but requires you to follow certain steps to make sure your account is properly closed. Since Maya is a regulated financial service, account deletion is only possible once your balance has been cleared and no active services are linked to your profile.

Start by logging into the Maya app with your old account credentials. From the home screen, go to your Profile, then open the Settings tab. Within this section, you may find an option labeled Delete My Account. Following the prompts will guide you through the account closure process.

If you want to close a Maya Savings account first, ensure that the balance is at zero before proceeding. Withdraw or transfer any remaining funds so the account can be deactivated.

In some cases, you may not see a Delete My Account option in the app. If that happens, you will need to contact Maya Support. Provide your registered mobile number, full name, and a valid government ID if requested.
