F-19 Stealth Fighter (North Cape strike mission - cold war - elite opponents)

Mission 95, gaming the game, crashing and recovery or hallucinogens in the oxygen supply. Primary is a photo recon of the Krivak frigate, secondary is a photo recon of a tank farm. The photo recons are unremarkable. What makes this interesting is the near crash and recovery.

The coastal radars are far too effective, flying at the edge of the envelope at the limit of low and slow the radars should fail to detect, but for some reason they manage to detect and track for long periods, at this point I decide to game the game.

The fighters are ineffective due to never being able to get a lock, I down those that stray in front. The route heads further north to prevent tracking but it still occurs :(

After the Krivak photo recon, the game exhibits severe graphics corruption. As the aircraft passes a plat on the strategic map it tends to rectify itself. The second recon is made and then it's west to the airbase, so the mission was recovered.

So after 40 mins and downing multiple fighters, firing the cannon one more time results in:

severe graphic corruption
enemy fighter stop using their radar, this fixes itself after about 1h 10mins.
fuel doesn't seem to drop, or drop at a far lower rate than expected
SAM radars become less effective
The radar track lasts for far too long given that all enemy radars have lost detection

All this tends to sort itself out on the trip home. This seems like a particular problem for North Cape due to the long mission distances and the need for low and slow due to the horribly effective radar on the coast.
